Summary

Mahfazti has no servers that store your data. Everything you add — your document photos, your emergency card, an optional photo on it — stays encrypted on your phone only, behind the password you choose.

What the app stores, and where

• Your documents and their photos: title, category, issue/expiry dates, document number, notes, and attachment photos. All encrypted and stored on your phone only.
• Your emergency card: your name, blood type, medical notes, emergency contact numbers, and an optional photo — all entered by you, encrypted and stored on your phone only.
• An optional backup file: if you use "Export backup", the app builds a single file with your data (still encrypted); you choose where to save or share it. We never receive or see this file.
• App settings: such as language and light/dark appearance — no personal data.

There is no account or sign-in in the app, and no cloud sync of any content.

Anonymous usage statistics

To improve the app only, we collect anonymous usage statistics (such as which screens are opened and how often each feature is used) through Google Firebase Analytics. These statistics:

• Are never linked to your name or identity.
• Never include the content of your documents, your emergency card, or any data from them.
• Never include an Advertising ID — we do not collect one at all.

The emergency card and its QR code

The emergency card is designed to be readable by anyone who scans its code in an emergency — that is its whole purpose. Its content (your name and whatever you entered) is encoded directly into the code itself or a link, and is read entirely on the scanning person's own device, without passing through any server we own or see.

Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell your data or share it with any third party for advertising purposes. The only third party involved is Google Firebase, for the anonymous statistics described above.

Deleting your data

You can delete all of your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Erase everything), or by deleting the app itself from your phone — either way, your data is permanently erased from your device, and we keep no copy of it anywhere.

Children's privacy

Mahfazti is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children ourselves.
